I am using Funambol 6.5.7 with outlook 2007 and every time I sync my contact to SW i get the following error report below with following pop up error "Warning: some items were not correctly saved Outlook"

I have installed the latest Redemption update for it and I have changed the contacts folder in the options menu to

\\OCOF\\Contacts

I believe this is why the error is occurring, it is still trying to add the contacts to

\\Personal Folders\Contacts

Any Idea how I fix this ?

Thanks

I have a hunch: ScheduleWorld carefully saves the \\OCOF\\Personal value. The only way you can get rid of it is to do a recover sync to ** REPLACE SERVER DATA **. Make sure you get the direction right.
From then on it should be \\OCOF\\Contacts.

Ok So I renamed all the Outlook folders on all the computers being synced to OCOF so they all match. I then exported the contacts manually from one of the PCs which was fully synced and imported them into my PC manually (my PC is the only one with outlook 2007) the rest have outlook 2003. I then tried recovery from all the data on computers onto SW and it worked fine. Yet when I go to Sync All on my PC which is the only one with outlook 2007, it still does not sync the contacts, it deleted them and once again did not add them. So basically the recovery from outlook 2003-2007 to SW worked. But the recovery or sync from SW to outlook 2007 did not work and I still get the following error 1 Below.

Just to inform you, I have to different data files on my Outlook, one for business, one for personal. When I set the OCOF (business) one as the default, everything worked fine. All recoveries and all syncs, yet I do not want it to be the default, cause my Microsoft ActiveSync needs my personal to be the default cause it syncs my phone numbers to it. Any Ideas how i can play with this?

PLEASE HELP ME. I NEED THIS TO WORK. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Ah, based on the error message it looks like the Funambol client only allows a single Outlook destination folder. If this is true then you may have to rethink your strategy.
Sorry, but I don't know how this Funambol setting works well enough to know if it can do what you want. It would be best to ask Funambol.

Cheers.

I honestly appreciate your help. If more people were so giving, we would be in a better world. I have now contacting funambol about the issue. I will update this forum or check the funambol forum for a solution.

Hi Mike,

did you ever find a solution to this? Until now I've used two machines both with just "Personal Folders" for the Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes.

I'm now trying to sync with an Exchange server account which is called "Mailbox - Name" instead. I don't even seem to be able to rename either of them.

I don't understand the requirement to store the folder name. Shouldn't Funambol just be told the "root" folder to sync and then work down from there if subfolders is selected?

When I export from the SW web client I can see the Folder path being stored on the SW server.

At the moment all my tasks, notes and calendar seem to be working OK. It's just contacts that are a problem.

I suggest you ask Funambol about this. It's always bugged me too. I thought it was just me misunderstanding something.

I have posted to the Funambol users list. However I also found this response by someone who appears to be fairly closely involved with Funambol

https://myfunambol.forge.funambol.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=338&viewType=browseAll&dsMessageId=23828

I still fail to see how this mechanism could be useful to anyone though.
