It shouldn't matter as it won't happen again. This issue is resolved.

Cheers.

This is not resolved and getting very frustrating. Anytime I sync I get duplicates (or more) of all my appointments. (especially birthdays) including multiple birthday dates for the same contact.

What is going on?

If you have dupes you'll continue to get more dupes.
Once you've removed your dupes you should be fine.
If not, post your username and I'll analyze the logs.

Cheers.

I've deleted the dupes numerous times on my blackberry and they keep appearing. The thing really bugging me is the contacts getting birthdates on multiple dates multiple times.

Would greatly appreciate you checking the logs. Username for scheduleworld is 1859519

Also is there any quick (e.g. programatic) way of removing duplicate appointments? I know it's possible for contacts already...

The syncSW ScheduleWorld add-on for Mozilla Thunderbird has a 'Merge Contact Duplicates' in the menu.

Using 0.5 plugin, can't find the merge duplicates option anywhere.

0.5 is ancient. I'm on 1.166 here.

Tried that no updates were found, I downloaded it in a weird spot to begin with. Where is the official download link?

Click the big 'Thunderbird' button on the home page.

Cheers.

Mark,

Have you had a chance to check my logs. Just did a sync about 2 minutes ago and I am getting the same calendar entry to repeat on that day like 10 times?

No. but here's why this is happening:
1. SW asks BB to save event with category X.
2. BB says OK, saves event but didn't save category X.
3. The event on SW and the event on the BB are different and will fail the dupe check, which will make both events 'new' instead of the same.

I just used 'category X' as an example. It might be something else.

The solution is to find out what is different and make it the same. You can also delete the original item in SWorld so the BB version comes across. SWorld will preserve all attributes perfectly so you won't see this issue again.

If you can't eyeball the difference (which came from BB, which was original SW) you'll have to guess.

Cheers.
