Installation

If you have trouble installing ScheduleWorld please check out the general FAQ.

Supported Platforms: Microsoft Windows 2003,XP,2000,ME,98,95, Apple's OS/X, Linux, Solaris.

Step One: Install Java. You can use Java 5 or Java 1.4.2. Java 5 is strongly preferred and some upcoming features will only work with Java 5.

• Java 5: http://java.com/ (click "Java Software Download")
• Using Java 5 the initial ScheduleWorld download size is 1.4MB (unlikely to grow much larger).
• Using Java 1.4.2 the initial ScheduleWorld download size is 5.5MB (will grow by several MB).
  • Older 1.4 versions of Java do not update Java Web Start applications properly. Please use 1.4.2_08 or later.

Step Two: click the following Java Web Start link: Sorry, this is no longer supported. If you are creating a new user, simply follow the directions and you are done.

Step Three (Optional): Back up your private keys! If you lose them you will lose your encrypted calendar events forever. Also, if you wish to have your account available on multiple machines you will need your private keys. To save your private keys simply start ScheduleWorld and select File->Export Private Keys.
To make your account available on another machine start ScheduleWorld as usual but select "Use Existing Account" and supply your private key file.
